Dr Jams Dobson was on Larry King (CNN) tonight. Larry asked Dr Dobson about those who died on 11 Sep, if they were in heaven. Dr Dobson replied that he accepted the Lord at age three. He went on to say that those who did not accept the Lord would not be in Heaven. Larry then asked if he (Dr Dobson) believed that the Jews, Muslums, and others who were not Christians ended up in Hell. Dr Dobson replied he was glad he did not have to make that decision. Sounds like politically correctness to me. Did he not want to offend non-christians?

One thing that Dr Dobson has never been is politically correct. Since I didn't catch the interview, it would be hard to comment. However, didn't he make his theological understanding clear by his statement (qouting saltcitybaptist): He went on to say that those who did not accept the Lord would not be in Heaven. Dr Dobson has a tendency to not rehash issues that he has clearly stated.

Groups such as seventh day adventists believe that those who are not saved do not go to heaven. But 7thDA do not believe in Hell. They basically believe that those not saved will simply cease to exist. Is this the thinking of Dr Dobson?

No, it is not what he believes. It's either heaven or hell. There are no other options. Dr Dobson is very evangelical and believes in the existance of a literal hell. It's not an annihilation issue or ceasing to exist type of teaching. If you don't have Jesus, no matter how good you claim to be, you are lost and your eternal state is clear. Faith in Christ is the only way to eternal security. He, however, can answer this better than I. ;D If there is a question as to his stance, their office is easily reached for clarification.
It sometimes comes across that there is an avoidance tactic with many Evangelicals that are intervued today but when you look at the attack the hosts of these programs utilize, you can understand why you would state something once and leave it at that. Let everyone else argue over your meaning. They'll do it anyway even if you don't let them! Jesus said it best, "Let your yes be yes and your no be no." Simplicity is the issue. Let the world complicate it.

I don't think so. Why would he change his belief ethics now? It has always been straight forward in the past. I still think that he was allowing his total position to stand on it's own merits without rehashing.
