All across America there are thousands of memorial services for the victims (yes, the victims; execpt for a very few, most of those who died were victims). Many churches had services as well. Radio talk show host "RUSH" stated that 11 Sep should be just a regular work day. A day that we continue to do what we do best. He stated that Americians celebrate VICTORY! not defeat. Did your church have a memorial service? If so, why. If not, why not?

It seems to me that, in the midst of all the flag waving, Christians have lost sight of the bigger picture. Namely, that every victim of the 9/11 attacks who died unrepentant will share Hell with the hijackers for eternity. Likewise, every American soldier that dies apart from Christ going after the terrorists will share eternity with the terrorists that are killed. In light of this reality, if the victims could speak to we who, for now, remain on this side of the veil, we would find that mercy, rather than justice, is what they seek.
