I have been a bi-vocational pastor for several years now and did my graduate work at Moody and want to see if I can find a place to fill as a Pulpit Supply in states adjacent to Kansas. What would anyone suggest? I am Jack Wellman and our church is about to go under financially. They have not gone with me on evangelism outreach activities and I came there years ago to train them on evangelism and in creating an Outreach program. I started a prison ministry and a nursing home ministry, yet they don't participate at all and I told them if they are not willing to go, they will never grow. They have had relatives living in the parsonage (which I didn't want and have my own home) and our deacon's daughter lived up stairs with a pot-smoking, Jack Daniels drinking boyfriend and I feel that its best to leave. I have spoken at area churches in Kansas and even in Colorado but I would like to do this more consistently since I am a Southern Baptist (taught Sunday school for 20 years) and have authored 4 books (on Amazon, etc) on Teaching Children the Gospel and The Great Commission and due to my age (almost 61) no one wants to hire me. Can anyone suggest anything? Thank you all and may God richly bless you for any suggestions you might give.
